Venue

The 34th EBLIDA Annual Council and Conference will take place in the heart of Prague, hosted across two landmark institutions: the National Library of the Czech Republic (Klementinum) and the Municipal Library of Prague (Central Library). Both venues are located in Prague 1 (Old Town), within easy walking distance of each other and well connected by public transport.

Tip: Prague’s Old Town is best explored on foot. 


National Library of the Czech Republic (Klementinum)

The Klementinum is one of Prague’s most significant historic complexes and home to the National Library of the Czech Republic. Conference sessions and meetings hosted here will tatke place within the Klementinum premises (exact rooms and access routes will be confirmed in the final programme).

How to get there (public transport)

  • Metro: Line A - Staroměstská (short walk)
  • Tram: Lines 17 and 18 - Staroměstská
  • Entrances: Access into the complex is possible from Mariánské Square, Karlova Street, or Křižovnická Street (conference signage will guide you).

Municipal Library of Prague (Central Library)

The Municipal Library of Prague is a modern, lively civic library at Mariánské náměstí, close to Prague’s Old Town Square. It will host conference sessions, meetings, and networking moments (final room allocations will be confirmed in the final programme).

Accessibility

  • Barrier-free access is available via an entrance from Valentinská Street (with elevator access) for parts of the building. Please follow event signage and staff guidance on the day.

Walking between the two venues

The National Library (Klementinum) and the Municipal Library (Central Library) are located in the same area. A walking route and wayfinding instructions will be provided in the participant information pack.
